“In God’s help, we are still surviving and doing greatly with our apostolate in serving the very poor and needy.  I can see the beautiful smile in our kids’ faces and from the eyes of the elderlies.  Though they are often hungry, at least during the day, they have a sure meal in the church. We are slowly increasing in number.  We still have 100 kids and this time we have 80 Elderlies with some mentally disturbed individuals who would come and go at any day of the week.  They are quite unpredictable, so we always cook extra, just in case some of them would come during the day.

Saturday is a special day for the feeding program, for almost all of them are present.  They would come early for their rosary and for the kids to have their catechesis.  After mass, usually they would have their social program; they will have singing and dancing before meal time.  It is also a good time for some occasional benefactors to come and share their blessings to the kids and elderlies in our feeding.

Last month, a group of graduating students from Ateneo de Manila University, came and shared some good food and candies to all of them.  It was a great time of fun and sharing.  An opportunity for the rich ones to share and do something good for the poor and needy and for the needy to show that despite the poverty and hardships in life, there is still hope and meaning in life, as long as you have faith in God.”
